Would you be more interested in history if Lady Gaga taught you about the French Revolution?
Turns out, She just might.
Two high-school istory teachers from Australia have created a youtube channel to teach kids history through the use of popular Pop tracks. Lazy students can now choose to learn about about the Black Death to the tune of Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani (“There ain’t no cure for THAAAT, girl, you’ll be dead in no time FLAAAT girl”), the art of Leonardo da Vinci to the tune of Dear Prudence, or the life of Mary Queen of Scots to Jenny from the Block (“Don’t be foolin’ with the crown that I got, I’m still, I’m still Mary Queen of Scots”).

The excuse,”But Ma, this is EDUCATIONAL!”, has never been so valid. The parodies are often brilliant, and always funny. Which is an achievement because it’s not something we could say about Lady Gaga herself.
Also, the Mahabharata is now compressed into a slightly shorter version via the song Abracadabra.
