Rajiv Sundaresan is a singer-composer working in the Indian music industry since 2006. Over the last decade, his voice has featured in over 1000 TV commercials, some of the noteworthy ones being for brands such as Nokia, Vodafone, Reliance to name a few. Singing in multiple languages is his forte and he has sung for the popular Aamir Khan show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ in various regional languages.
He debuted in Bollywood with the title track in the film “Satyagraha” that he sang for Salim-Sulaiman. More recently he has worked on independent projects as a composer among which “Jiye Mera Desh” was one, which was sung by Shankar Mahadevan, Salim Merchant & Vishal Dadlani. Presently he is scoring music for TV commercials and engaged in doing vocal arrangements for composers like Amit Trivedi, Vishal Bharadwaj etc. His heart lies in creating his own independent music and that’s something he’s excited to bring to his audience on a regular basis.
His latest track “Aao Na” is a smooth breezy romantic duet that features the terrific Shashaa Tirupati lending her melodious voice to it. Penned down by the prolific Abhiruchi Chand from the “Buddhu Sa Mann” fame from the film “Kapoor & Sons”, the lyrics paint a beautiful picture of a world filled with love and happiness. Nyzel Dlima has ensured that the composition sits beautifully in the sort of ethereal vibe he’s given the song with his guitar work and production.
“Aao Na” is built on the strengths of the duo. Rajiv Sundaresan’s brilliant songwriting and singing float through this breeze of a song. His impassioned vocals deliver every nuance. Matching and elevating this is the sensational Shashaa Tirupati. An accomplished and in-demand performer in her own right, Shashaa is totally committed to the material with every layer added to enhance the songs rather than display her own virtuosity with the mic.
