Vellore Institute of Technology’s annual cultural festival, RIVIERA, to be held between 2nd February and 5th February, 2012, has some amazing pro-nites lined up this year – including just the right dose of Bollywood, Tollywood, Metal, Pop & Classical. Phew! There’s something for everybody.
DAY 1 – 2nd February, 2012
AALAAP RAJU
Does it get better than having music in your name? Aalaap Raju has worked with music directors like Harris Jayaraj, Ilaiyaraja, S.Thaman, Imman, Deepak Dev & Devan Ekambaram. His repertoire includes “Engeyum Kaadhal” from Engeyum Kaadhal, “Enamo Aedho” from Ko, “Anjana Anjana” from Vanthaan Vendraan and “Endhan Kan Munney” from Nanban. He’s also the co-founder of the multi-genre band Rahlaap along with Rahul Nambiar.

RAHUL NAMBIAR
Two sides of the same coin? Indian playback singer Rahul Nambiar forms the other half of the multi-genre band Rahlaap along with Aalaap Raju. He is considered a versatile singer, having sung in various genres such as Western, Carnatic, light music and hip-hop. Some of his hit songs include Mani Sharma’s “Vasantha Mullai” from Pokkiri & Yuvan Shankar Raja’s “Adada Mazhada’ from Paiyaa. Expect some serious fireworks with Rahlaap’s performance!

SUCHITRA
Famous RJ & playback singer Suchitra will be performing LIVE! Yes – you read it right. Suchitra sang her first Tamil movie song under the music director Harris Jayaraj for the movie “Leysa Leysa” in 2003. Some of her other huge hits include “Uyirin Uyire“, “Dole Dole“, “Vechikkava” and “Chinna Thamarai“. Expect the concert to be high on energy, no nonsense & full-on entertainment just like her!!!

NATALIE DI LUCCIO
Toronto-based multilingual singer Natalie di Luccio has performed with the genius maestro A.R. Rahman after being spotted by him. She’s done playback singing for Bollywood hits such as Band Baaja Baraat, Chalo Dilli & Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl. She’s also worked with Sonu Nigam. And now she will be performing LIVE!
