Jia O Jia is the reprise of the legendary ‘Jiya O Jiya Kuch Bol Do’ sung by none other than the iconic Mohammad Rafi. The song that was picturized on the Evergreen Dev Anand Saab and The graceful veteran actress Asha Parekh and the reprise version will be features Kalki Koechlin and Richa Chadha. Howard Rosemeyer’s Jia Aur Jia title track composed by Nisschal Zaveri (sung by Jyotica Tangri and Rashid Ali, lyrics penned by Vachaspati Mishra).
The song contains a line of the original song and later changes to a modern upbeat song. Jia O Jia captures the essence of Nisschal’s music. He is trained in Classical Hindustani music as well as Western Contemporary music.
Nisschal is ecstatic to have worked on this song. On the launch of the song, he said, “We have created something really special with Jia O Jia it has interesting elements and touches a variety of genres like disco and EDM, yet keeping the melodic element in the forefront. Its a great honour for me to re-compose the original song and I’m excited for people to hear it”. Both these songs help to show the range of Nisschal’s compositional abilities.
