Yesterday, Euphoria put up a message on their page which read “Euphoria will be inducted in the Indian Rock Hall of Fame at the IRAA awards, this friday in Mumbai. Our sincere gratitude to the IRAA and Bombay Rock Association for appreciating our 13 years of blood, sweat, tears, happiness and Hind Rock n Roll”. We are extremely proud of them.
These are certainly Euphorias resurgence years. Getting great accolade all across the spectrum, the induction is the latest feather to their cap. From playing at the CWG to being at the forefront of the ‘I Pledge to Stop Student Suicides’ movement, Euphoria seems keen to keep up their contributions.
Headed by Dr Palash, the band has grown immensely in the thirteen years and are on the verge of releasing their new album. With 11 songs, they speak about everything from corruption, money, terrorism, religion, Manmohan Singh and love. Palash says he believes the band has grown only younger with their latest adventure. The IRAA Awards aim to recognize and honour those that create excellent music as well the music technicians who aren’t in the spotlight. Some of the other bands who have won under different categories and have been inducted are Avial, Advaita and Shor Bazaar. Indus Creed.
