Calling to attention all AR Rahman acolytes; his latest Bollywood composition – the music of the movie, Ek Deewana Tha – will be released today at a special gathering, organized at the Taj Mahal no less.
This is Gautham Menon’s second Bollywood directorial venture, and it has generated it’s fair share of pre-release hype, with the pairing of the are they/aren’t they couple, Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson, besides of course, AR Rahman’s music – snippets of which can be heard on the theatrical trailer and that was enough to set tongues earnestly wagging.
The launch itself will be a grand affair, organized in the foreground of the Taj Mahal. AR Rahman will be sharing the spotlight with his lyrical collaborator, Javed Akhtar, as well as performing a quaint little gig for the exclusive attendees present.
The lead pair, along with Gautham Menon, will also grace the occasion – probably smiling and waving, as those caught in the relentless glare of flashbulbs are wont to do.
