In case you sound junkies had no idea, 21st June is officially World Music Day, a day to celebrate the idea of music, something so near and dear to everyone of us.
So firstly, on behalf of The Score Magazine
Happy World Music Day folks!!
World Music Day is celebrated worldwide as Fête de la Musique, a movement which began in France in 1976 and soon spread across the world. Fête de la Musique is celebrated in the form of free music festivals, providing a platform for promising as well as established musicians.
This year is no different. Indo-French cultural center Alliance Française de Bangalore is organizing a music festival on June 23 and June 24th. The Fête de la Musique celebration this year will have non-stop music starting from 1 PM each day. The two-day festival will feature a wide assortment of genres from Psychedelic Rock to Avant-Garde Jazz, from Thrash Metal to the Blues.
