Indian Ocean return to the stage with a scheduled headlining act at Carpe Diem 2012, IIM Calcutta’s annual music ‘n’ recreation blowout.
The festival is scheduled for the 3rd to the 5th of February, with Indian Ocean’s performance scheduled to cap off the event’s final flourish on the last day. The festival will also feature performances by Bandish Fusion, which is an exercise in eclectic classicism by Grammy nominated percussionist, Subhen Chatterjee, in cahoots with the fusion band, Karma. They’re to set the ball rolling on the first day of the festival at 8.30 pm.

The build-up to final day’s showpiece event will hot up with Armageddon, an amateur band face-off for the right to be Indian Ocean’s supporting act, scheduled for the day before (4th), which will have renowned bands like Blood And Iron, Gravy Theory and Camouflaged in the fray.
Diversified entertainment options at the fest will include, but not limited to, salsa and bartending workshops. The whimsical you can even partake some zorbing, wall – rappelling, or just some good old paintballing.
And more is to come with Abhinay, which will include several examples of theatrical art concepts, from a mime performance by Padma Shri Niranjan Goswami on day one to an open air 40 minute production called Nukkad Natak on day two.
