The last open air we can think of is IIT Madras’s magnum opus, Saarang. Cataclysm II, with its line up for the 2012 edition, sure looks like its going to raise a storm!
WHERE? YMCA Grounds, Nandanam
WHEN? July 29th 2012, Sunday
WHO’s INVITED?
YOU! That’s right, dear reader. You should come with all your friends,, imaginary and real, to what promises to be a really huge gathering of raw, youthful fun!
The people in charge of providing this adrenalin rush:
Theorized (Bangalore)
[youtube_video id=-5Ogr4zjTMY]
Influences – Opeth, Nevermore, Cynic, Martyr, Meshuggah, Death, Soilwork, Bloodbath, Extinct Reflections, Testament, Exodus
Last seen at Bangalore Open Air, Theorized are as thrash metal as they get. These guys will have you roaring, moshing and bringing barricades down.
Frank’s Got The Funk
Local hipsters Frank’s Got The Funk are riding high these days on the success of Corvus – their latest single. Electronic/prog rock is their sound and they have influences from all around – Norah Jones (?!##$%*) to Skrillex.
Word has it that FGTF Fangirls (an underground, thriving hub in Chennai) will be there in full attendance. Ladies, all throwing of the self can happen only after these guys get off stage.

Yup, Chennaiites got a preview of Corvus live at Score Night way earlier!
Tails On Fire
Tails On Fire is not responsible for any injuries caused due to excess jumping(Seriously, try topping the lead singer at your own risk). Yup, these guys should technically come with that disclaimer because when they are on stage, it’s a party off stage!

Alt/Hard Rock with a whole lot of spunk, that sums up TOF!
AND *drumroll* our head liners shall be, let me hear some aggressive riffs and metal chants…
Wolf’s Lair
These guys, not so long ago, did some awesome build up themselves. Much better than what we just did đ

That my friend was just a glance at the magnanimity of one of Chennai’s premier metal acts. They play a wide variety of metal but essentialy, it’s HEAVY! With a staunch fan following and one of the tightest line-ups in recent times, a show with these guys = pure bred aggression.

Wolf’s Lair’s will also be officially launching their new album at Cataclysm II.
Don’t pull your hair out in excitement. Instead, pull out your wallet (and in it, your debit/credit card) and purchase your passes at tickets.highonscore.com! You can also buy your tickets at the venue. They are priced at 200/-.
This is a Liquid Fire Events initiative. They are an event management company based out of Chennai who also were the ones that brought out Cataclysm I – with Escher’s Knot, Bevar Sea, Bass In Bridge and Crypted among others.
