The faint hearted should stay away as Trendslaughter Crew and Cyclopean Eye Productions team up to conjure up Trendslaughter II, the second iteration of their dream of bringing to Bangalore the best of underground metal movement.
On 29th January, The Kyra Theatre will witness a meltdown, as four of Bangalore’s most visceral metal acts play around sets by international metal evangelists Cauchemar from Canada and Abigail from Japan.
Cauchemar were late additions to the line-up and have clearly upped the appeal of the festival. But the Bangalore-based bands in the mix – Djinn & Miskatonic, Dwesha, Gorified and Dying Embrace – are eclectic doomoids themselves and won’t be playing second fiddle when it comes to pure destruction. Gorified, especially, are renowned for their extremely graphic lyricism, with choicest song titles ranging from ‘Fetish Necrophilia’ to ‘Autopsy Devourment’. Hm – delish.
