The cool fusionists from Bangalore, Swarathma, are back in the groove, and this Saturday we get a first look at their upcoming album, Topiwalleh, with the release of the single, the cheekily titled Aaj Ki Taaza Fiqar.
It’s been a while since their debut album in 2009, so the anticipation has heightened that much more. And good news for all you net hacks; this song will be available as a free download off www.swarathma.com
Frontman Vasu Dixit says about the song, “It’s what we feel as artists and common men about the way the news comes to us and the way the media creates the news. It’s about that. It’s about the way the news is tailored and stitched but in a way the media want it to be”.
The good news – about the release of the song, not the purported media conspiracy – doesn’t end here, of course.
