Supersonic 2023 was a hit! A Day 3 Summary – Score events

All three days saw equally good performances, but the intensity of the third day was overwhelming. The well-planned line-up that flowed perfectly from one act to the other on each stage, and the energy that people brought to the festival are both the strongest reason for the success.

Though Supersonic did initially start as a EDM festival, the diversification of genres at the event is something that that has been good for both, the business of the festival and the promotion of independent music in India. At the beginning of day 3, we talked to Nikhil Chinapa, one of the curators and key organizers of the festival. He expressed his happiness for the triumph of the festival this year. He said, “The festival is doing amazingly well, we are really happy to see the number of people that have shown up on day 1 and day 2. I have never seen a festival that packed on a Friday and Saturday. People wanted to come home to Supersonic.”

The SuperFam showed up even more in number on day 3. It was the final day of the festival and the line-up was unmissable. The festival hosted some very good artists from India and around the world. This included performances by Begum, Farhan, and CKay on the Nexa live stage. All of the three performances were absolutely on point. Good sound, good music, and good artists. Farhan sang most of the songs from the tracks that he has worked on as a professional singer as opposed to the songs he has done for Bollywood. He encouraged the crowd to listen to these songs, and the audience did listen to the songs patiently, and moreover, they enjoyed them. His song “My Friend Who Was”, touched many listeners.

CKay performed some of his famous tracks like “By now”, and “Emiliana”. His talent engaged the whole crowd and made them dance along to the songs. His set also featured a saxophone player who played incredibly well.

The main stage was opened by Tara Lily who gave a good performance. Her interesting vocal tricks wooed the audience and had them excited to hear her sing more. Next up was Anuv Jain who has been in demand performer for a while now, and his act was evident of why he is loved. This was followed up by a surprise performance by Paradox who gave a power-packed performance.

Anne Marie was the headlining act of the festival, and no doubt that it deserved that spot. Watching her perform and watching the audience enjoy it was a beautiful sight to witness. The way the two responded to each other was like watching hot milk and cocoa being merged together to become a comforting hot chocolate drink. She sang her famous songs “Ciao Adios”, “2002”, and “Rockabye”, and the crowd sang along with her.

Budx stage and the Social stage also gave the festival goers some tracks that they didn’t want to stop dancing to. Day 3 was undoubtedly the best day for all the music and dance lovers. Mozez X Plan B, Sourfunk B2B Joven Roy, Farhan Rehman, Hamza Rahimtula Stalvart, and Bill Brewster were all the star performers at the Social stage. While Budx stage also had a powerful line-up consisting of Parallel, Kohira X Zookhuma, Ida Engberg, Arjun Vagale, and Luke Slater. !0,000 Lins sound system stage had people on their feet throughout the festival finale day.

This year’s Supersonic was a super successful hit. The organisers and crew worked really hard for over a year to open this festival after 3 long years. All the fans were very happy with the festival, and they hope that there are no more breaks between the next editions of this festival.
