Nothing gels better than an artistic soiree in support of a good cause. Of course, when the program list consists of performances by luminaries like Zakir Hussain and Trilok Gurtu, the soiree escalates into a full-fledged musical event. The sponsored causes too reap the benefits in reaching out to a wider, more enthusiastic audience.
That’s the guiding thought behind ‘Raga Rhythm’, an evening of music being put together by Grundfos for 11th of December, in aid of Open and Ignite, two noteworthy educational initiatives.
The show will feature – as mentioned above – table maestro, Zakir Hussain, and world renowned percussionist, Trilok Gurtu. In addition, there will also be a performance by violin-vocal duo, Ganesh and Kumaresh.
The venue for this eclectic gathering is the Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall at Lady Andal School, which shouldn’t take much of a getting to this Sunday evening for city-based enthusiasts. So, come on over and join the celebrations.
Tickets for the evening can be procured here.
