The past few months saw Parvaaz in the studio, recording and mastering some material for their debut EP “Behosh”, set to be released anytime soon. The EP will contain five hand-picked songs. “Out of the many songs that we have been playing live these five we thought had a similar feel as well as lyrical flow to be put together in an EP,” says Khalid Ahamed, the band’s frontman and songwriter. According to Kashif Iqbal, the lead guitarist and songwriter of the band, “It has been a great experience. We got to learn more things not only about recording but also about our own music and how to make it sound great in a studio.” A music video for the title track is also in the works.
With the release of the new EP, the band hopes to spread their unique sound and give people songs that have been an indispensable part of their live performances. The album cover art will probably be revealed at the pre-launch show in Bangalore, according to the band drummer Sachin Banandur, who also happens to be the artist responsible for the cover art. After launching the EP in mid-july, the band hopes to tour across the country, promoting their music. This tour includes gigs in Mangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
