Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is back!


The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is back! All you music junkies have some awesome stuff to look forward to between 4th February – 12th February, 2012.


Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is an annual festival held in downtown Mumbai for usually nine days. During this festival, one can experience a kaleidoscope of music, dance, theatre, literature, street stalls, films, workshops for adults and children, visual arts and heritage walks.

Mumbai’s Asiatic Steps and Cross Maidan will resound with melodious instrumental sounds and soulful voices of many a leading artist covering musical genres ranging from classical to contemporary and Bollywood.

This year’s highlights include performances by Bollywood’s leading music directors Vishal-Shekhar, Indian classical musician and sitar maestro Niladri Kumar, acclaimed British Tamil musician Susheela Raman, Sufi-Baul singer from West Bengal Parvathy Baul, Marimba artist Lukas Ligeti among others.
