Even at 53, she doesn’t show any signs of slowing down (the botox treatment, that is)
Going by the grapevine, Madonna‘s newest album is on the verge of conception. Real studio work will begin once she returns home to New York from Venice, where she is currently hobnobbing to garner her directorial venture, W.E., some critical sympathy.
Taking the writing and recording into account, the album should see the light of day only sometime next year. In the meanwhile, Madge has made her intentions clear, posting on her Facebook page, “I need to move, I need to sweat. I need to make new music! On the lookout for the maddest, sickest, most badass people to collaborate with“, which probably provides pertinent clues to the upcoming music videos, more than the music.
Speaking of camera action, Madonna’s only second ever directorial venture, W.E., received mixed reviews from the global press when it was screened at the Venice Film Festival.
The movie revolves around American divorcee Wallis Simpson, who charms King Edward VIII into abdicating the British throne, since English law forbade Kings from sleeping with divorcees.
There are historical inaccuracies thrown in for good measure too, but the English press hasn’t gotten around to reacting to it yet. They’re still too busy sneering at Madonna’s appearance to really care. So, judge for yourself!
