‘Goal Podu’, sung by Vishal Dadlani is an ‘anthem’ in the true sense of the word. It is what it needs to be: catchy, groovy, with a melody anyone could sing along to.
The lyrics are written by Mohan Raj.
After his remarkable ‘Kannaley’ song with Javed Ali last year, A.H.Kaashif certainly looks promising as we listen to more of his releases. “I have composed a song beginning with the words ‘Goal Podu’ for the Chennai City Football Club. Football is a game which is about team spirit and my song will enhance the spirit of the sport and the flavor of this popular sport in Chennai,” he said. Both football and music, he says, have the spirit of life strongly reflected in them and that’s what made him connect it and bring out this powerful composition.
