Adam Lambert premieres ‘Better than I know myself’ video

Adam Lambert, the gay Ex American Idol singer, gives black nailpolish a shot in his new video for Better than I know myself.

Adam Lambert premiered his new video for for ‘Better than I know myself’ on Friday. The singer/stage actor brings out his ever ready theatrical side in the new video, portraying his dual personalities – An angsty, black nail polish wearing, liquor glugging dark side and a magnanimous, tea sipping, yoga performing mellow side.

The song” Lambert says, is “A kind of an apology and kind of a plea. It’s very honest.” It talks about how he goes to pieces if the woman in question is not with him. The video has his disturbed eyeliner wearing dark alter ego, breaking things and slugging down alcohol in large quantities, all the while mocking the benevolence of the calm sans make-up side of him.

Better than I know myself is the Ex ‘American Idol’ singer’s first single from his forthcoming album Trespassing, which is due for release March 20. The video, which looks like a signature dramatic Lambert style affair, is directed Ray Kay, who previously made Lambert’s “Whataya Want From Me?” video and worked with Britney Spears and Lady Gaga.

It is reported that Lambert will tour with Queen as frontman, in the honour of late member, Freddie Mercury. Guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor have previously shared stage with him on MTV’s European Music awards, where they’d performed classic Queen hits like We are the Champions and We will rock you.

Lambert told the reporters that, “There’s no intention in my mind of replacing Freddie. The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f*****g great songs.”
