Wilbur Sargunaraj is taking the world by storm, quite literally. After his concerts in UK and Australia, it’s time for New Zealand and Canada. Asian countries are on the cards too.
Wilbur Sargunaraj, the man whose motto is “Making the Common Extraordinary,” makes music about the lives of everyday South Indians in Tamil-infused-English. What is amazing is how he has become a global phenomenon doing what he does and even those unacquainted with the culture he sings about connect with it.
Wilbur’s Simple Superstar CD was launched in London on the 6th of May and then at the India-Australia Reconcilition Tour in Melbourne on 14th May. In June, he is heading to Auckland, New Zealand after which it is Toronto, Canada. Later in the year, Asia gets its share of him with shows in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Looks like the globe trotting Simple Superstar is on a mission to get as many countries as he can to get hooked onto his music. “First class” idea Mr. Sargunaraj!
