OnePlus has launched the latest version of its OnePlus Nord Buds. The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 offer a fantastic package of great sound quality, high quality hardware, long lasting battery backup, stylish looks, and unbeatable price. There are some question marks about the active noise cancellation (ANC) but is it really that much of an issue? Let’s find out all that you need to know about the OnePlus Nord Buds 3.
Design and fit
OnePlus’s Nord Buds 3 come in an oval case. There is OnePlus badging on the front of the case. There is an LED indicator below it. It blinks in white, green and light yellow color, according to use. There is a USB port and pairing button at the bottom. OnePlus Nord Buds 3 are available in two colours: Starry Night and Soft Jade. Both of them look nice and pickling one boils down to personal preference. You can select the Soft Jade if you want your OnePlus Nord Buds 3 to really stand out.
As far as fitting in the ear is concerned, OnePlus has done a good job in this. The earbuds fit well in the ear in one go. You can even sleep with them on (though we wouldn’t recommend that). Their overall design is compact, due to which they are also very easy to carry.
Audio Quality
Nord Buds 3 are an affordable version of the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro. They are priced at Rs 1899 (with introductory offers). This is over 1,000 rupees less than the previous version. In this price range, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 offer the most in terms of sound quality. These are perfect for those who like more bass. They feature support for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and it works reasonably well. Don’t expect it to drown out all the noise on a busy road though.
Connectivity
You are not going to face any problem in terms of connectivity. The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 are equipped with the Google Fast Pair system. As soon as you open the case, they get connected to the phone, which is thanks to Bluetooth 5.4. It has dual connection, along with 12.4mm titanium dynamic drivers. If you connect them with another device for the first time, then it takes a little effort. Before connecting, the pairing button at the bottom has to be long pressed, after which the option to connect the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 to the device comes. However, once connected, there won’t be any problem again.
Battery and charging
The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 promise up to 43 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 12 hours of standalone playback without ANC. The earbuds feature flash charge which can last for 11 hours with 10 minutes. Battery-wise, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Once charged, these can easily last for 5-6 days. If you are an office goer who has to take non-stop calls on the phone, the battery backup will be slightly less.
Should you buy them?
Given the mouthwatering price, the answer is a resounding YES. The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 redefine the phrase, “bang for your buck”. Even though you have to just pay Rs. 1899 for them, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 compete with many flagship buds in terms of features. You get excellent battery backup, decent sound quality and beautiful design. If you are in the market for earbuds under the 2500 rupees range, look no further than the OnePlus Nord Buds 3.
