Biddu, the man behind evergreen hits like Disco Deewane, Aap Jaisa Koi, Alisha Chinai’s Made In India & Shweta Shetty’s Johnny Joker, recently launched his first novel, Curse Of The Godman.
Published by HarperCollins Publishers (India) and spread over 336 pages, Curse Of The Godman is set in 1951 where an unseen spectre terrorizes the areas around Darjeeling’s scenic tea plantations. As the events unfold, Michael and Sarah Patterson, British owners of the thriving Silver Glade plantation, find their lives intricately enmeshed with all of it, and with the frightening figure of a Naga sadhu whom Michael glimpses on a dark night. The sleepy little town nestled in the hills of north-east India wakes up to a number of murky incidents all of which come together in a riveting climax.
Considering his discography, a novel from this great musician is definitely intriguing and worth checking out.
