It’s that time of the year again. The time when all those sparkly, shiny, happy Yuletide classics begun to feel a bit (arguably) overdone. Sure, nothing sums up the seasons like a good old Christmas carol, but there’s always potential to put an alternative spin on the season. The old time classics are usually a bit too presumptuous for my taste. Who’s to say that this is everyone’s favorite time of the year? I like to believe that there should be a little something for everyone – the elves and the grinches alike. There are tons of independent artists and alternative musicians who’ve put out some great tracks that offer a vast variety of refreshingly different perspectives on the holiday season.
