Mad Decent Block Party returns to India this March

International travelling festival headlined by dance music supergroup Major Lazer will travel to Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi from March 3-5; amongst a host of big acts expected to join the line-up is American DJ and producer Dillon Francis; tickets go on sale today.

One of dance music’s biggest names with the world’s most recognizable track, ‘Lean On’ to their name, Major Lazer return to India to headline Mad Decent Block Party in March later this year.

Mad Decent Block Party, a street party that began in Philadelphia in 2008 is now an international touring carnival that features some of the most exciting names from dance music, trap, pop and even hip-hop and surprise appearances from stars like Justin Bieber, Drake amongst many other. Mad Decent Block Party debuted in India in 2016 with shows in Mumbai and Bangalore.

Joining Major Lazer is American producer and DJ, Dillon Francis, who is as known for his hit productions as he is for his uninhibited humour on social media. More additions to the line-up will be announced later.

Organised and promoted by Oji in association with Budweiser and co-sponsored by Channel V, Mad Decent Block Party will travel to Mumbai (March 3), Hyderabad (March 4) and Delhi (March 5). Oji recently raised funding from a consortium of investors, including reputed business magnate Ruchir Modi of Torrent Pharma and Puro Wellness.

Mad Decent Block Party will travel to Mumbai on March 3, to Hyderabad on March 4 and finally to Delhi on March 5. Last year, Delhi missed its date with the MDBP crew due unforeseeable circumstances, and will be another chance for fans in North India to catch the one of 21st century’s most disruptive acts.
