The song is composed and written by DASU and Produced by cutting edge producer SENIK (NY). With an infectious hook and relatable lyrics, DASU is in top form showcasing his deft vocals skills over a minimalist beat.
Says DASU, “While in a Mumbai hotel I got this thought in my head where I remember how people get so caught up in the limelight and lose themselves in “fame”. When everyone starts becoming your friend for what you do, instead of who you really are. Fake friends who smile in your face but wish to see you fall” He continues…..”`Frenemies’ is a song about someone who is on top of the world and still feels trapped in a hotel room…could have any girl in the world but can’t find true love…can have all the friends in the world but can’t find friendship, leading him to rebel against everything and everyone.”
Interestingly “Frenemies” was written in a hotel room in Mumbai while DASU was here to shoot for the music video of his debut single.
