“Marriages are made in heaven”, they say and it is certainly true and very much in this beautiful couple’s life too!
When we last spoke to this beautiful lady in October, she told us that her wedding was not on the cards and not to remind her parents about it (smiles) and few months later, her dream wedding actually took place.
Akriti Kakar, the beautiful voice behind the super hit tracks like “Saturday Saturday”, “Iski Uski”, and some super amazing independent music tied knot with the Ad Director Chirag Arora in a super fun filled ceremony in New Delhi on March 5th.
Akriti and Chirag had a Big, Fat Punjabi Wedding filled with loads of fun and laughter. They made the most fun couple singing and dancing away to their favorite numbers of all time.

The wedding was attended by biggies of music industry like Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, Meiyang Chang, and Amaal Malik to name a few.
When we asked Akriti on how she feels now that she is married, this is what she had to say to us “Well, honestly besides the fact that I miss having my parents around, it’s really like living with my best friend. I just see him way more than I used to see him in the day! (Laughs) Also, his parents and rest of the family are very caring and affectionate. Being married is a different feeling for sure as I keep seeing my Mehndi hands and chooda and the engagement ring! (Laughs). But I guess it’s a journey of exploration that I’m happy to dive into with a person who understands me the most and we want to grow and prosper together”
