The second edition of IIFA Utsavam ended with a bang!

The biggest celebration of South Indian cinema, the 2nd Annual Fortune Sunflower Oil IIFA Utsavam Co-Presented by Hero Maestro Edge Powered by Renault witnessed an outstanding event as biggest superstars of all the four south Indian industries(Tamil,Malayalam, Telugu & Kannada) Film Industries came together on 28th and 29th March 2017 at HICC in Hyderabad.

The star studded event saw the likes of some of the most talented and popular names from the Music Industry.

Day 1 of the event began with a Think Tank session with the Indian Mozart AR Rahman and award winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty in a panel discussion on Innovation and Creativity in Music at the T-Hub, Hyderabad.

Some of the popular and talented names from the music industry seen at the award ceremony on 28th( Tamil & Malayalam) industry were AR Rahman, Resul Pookutty, Vijay Yesudas, Neeti Mohan, Gopi Sunder.

The ones that took away an award from various categories on Day 1 in the Tamil and Malayalam Industry are:

Best Lyrics in Malayalam: Santhosh Varma for Charlie

Best Lyrics in Tamil: Anuraja Kamaraj for Kabali

Best Music Director in Malayalam: Gopi Sunder for Charlie

Best Music Director in Tamil: AR Rahman for Acham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada

Playback singer female in Malayalam: Sreya Jayadeep for Oppam

Playback singer female in Tamil: Neeti Mohan for Naanum Rowdy Dhan

Playback singer Male in Malayalam: Vijay Yesudas for Maheshinte Prathikaaram

Playback singer Male in Tamil: Anirudh for Naanum Rowdy Dhan

Vijay Yesudas, on this occasion sang an Adipoli song from a Malayalam movie that got people tapping their feet and he also sang a melodious song Avalum Naanum from AR Rahman’s Acham Yenbadhu Madamayada.

Baby Sreya Jayadeep, the youngest talented singer sang a couple of lines from Oppum movie that got her a lot of cheer and encouragement from the audience.

Anuraja Kamaraj who won the best lyricist award for the sensational movie Kabali sang a line from the movie that brought a lot of excitement in the crowd.

The second day of the IIFA Utsavam for Telugu and Kannada Industry saw a lot of stars from all industries coming in together to make it a very grand evening.

Best Lyricist in Telugu: Ramajogayya Sastri for Janatha Garage

Best Lyricist in Kannada: Rakhshit Shetty for Kirik Party

Best Music Director in Telugu: Devi Shri Prasad for Janatha Garage

Best Music Director in Kannada: B. Ajaneesh Loknath for Kirik Party

Best Playback Singer Female in Telugu: Geetha Madhuri for Janatha Garage

Best Playback Singer Female in Kannada: Inchara Rao for Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu

Best Playback Singer Male in Telugu: Haricharan Seshadri for Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha

Best Playback Singer Male in Kannada: Vijay Prakash for Kirik Party

We heard all the winners of the different awards talk about their feeling on holding this award and some of them sang a line or two from their winning song.

The Second Edition of IIFA Utsavam ended with great fun and frolic through the two days with lots of music and dance and party.
